GETTING STARTED WITH IIID FOUNDATION BY SEINT
WILL BE EASY-PEASY WITH MY 9 TIPS.

Changing up your routine is a BIG deal. Especially your makeup one. The excellent part about Seint Beauty is that you are not going at it alone, and I am here to help along the journey.

TIP #1- DON’T DO IT, MY FRIEND!
UNLESS YOU WANT TO TRY A COLLECTION, THAT IS.

I’m going to tell you a secret. Many have tried this, and most have failed. Color matching yourself.

The actual tins of the foundation are deceiving, especially on the website. Did you find a guide on Pinterest? Don’t be tempted.

The creams are more pigmented and act differently than a traditional foundation. The tin and your face are two very different things and it takes time to learn how the makeup works on different faces.

Most women CAN use multiple colors but an artist can find the one(s) that will work best for you and your concerns.

💡PRO TIP: take My Color Match Quiz

TIP #2- WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT COLLECTIONS?

Collections are groups of products curated specifically for each level of skin tone, and as long as you can accurately select your skin tone from the pictures, you are good to go.

I recommend you start with the No. 8 or No. 12 collection. These include three different highlights (aka foundation) colors to ensure you love your makeup and have the perfect shades!

Collections can save you money and stave off the overwhelm of choosing between all the options. Collections include everything you need to get started with your new routine!

TIP #3 – DON’T FORGET THIS IMPORTANT ITEM.

Picture this. You finish ordering your new makeup, wait excitedly by the mailbox, and unwrap the goodness.

But you are missing one essential thing! The compact to put it all in. The worst part is you had compact credit you could have used on that initial order, and compact credit doesn’t transfer to other orders.

💡 The moral of the story…. don’t forget to get a compact and use your credit!

TIP #4 – YES, YOU DO NEED A BRUSH!

Brushes don’t matter, do they? Uhm, yes, they do, especially with creams. All Seint brushes are double-ended, of excellent quality, and created to work with the cream foundation. You can also choose your brush based on the coverage you prefer. Many ladies order Seint brushes even if they use a different brand of foundation.

💡 PRO TIP: My favorite brushes for beginners are the Detail and the Shape Brush.

You have your makeup. Now what?

Now that you have your makeup and are ready to get started, here are some tips to ensure you LOVE it!

TIP #5 – A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY.

You need much less product than you are used to, and EVERYONE uses too much in the beginning. How do you know you have too much on? It will feel sticky or tacky, not stay all day and not look good.

Your highlight tin should last around 2-4 months. If you are going through yours quicker, we may need to get you a darker shade to give you the coverage you desire.

If you have a heavy hand and struggle with using too much product, try the Shape Brush. The bristles are less dense, and it does not pick up as much product as some other brushes.

💡 PRO TIP: Use the Perfector Sponge or grab one from your local store. Get it damp and use that baby to eliminate excess product and blend to a gorgeous finish.

TIP #6- HOW IS YOUR CANVAS?

When your makeup isn’t quite right, it is often a skincare issue.Let me know if you need help in this area.

💡 PRO TIP: Try shaving your face. I PROMISE you will never go back. If you are nervous, check out this Healthline Article with pros, cons, and tips.

You will also know your skincare game is off if your makeup is spotty/flakey/patchy. A good exfoliation can do wonders.

💡 PRO TIP 2: If you moisturize in the morning, especially if it’s heavy, wait at least 15-20 minutes for it to soak into your skin so it does not mess with your longevity. Same for sunscreen.

TIP #7 – REMEMBER THOSE BRUSHES? CLEAN THEM!

I won’t make you confess, but if you haven’t cleaned your brushes for a while, IT IS TIME. A dirty makeup brush WILL affect your makeup game.

When I’m doing my makeup daily, I use the Seint Brush Cleaner (once named Houdini because it is magic) once a week.

FYI – Seint Brush Cleaner smells like heaven or cotton candy, and your brushes are instantly dry and usable—no dry time.

💡PRO TIP: Once a month, I use baby shampoo for a deep clean. Any gentle cleanser will work.

TIP #8 – CHANGE CAN BE HARD.

There can be an adjustment period with cream makeup.

Instead of the liquid foundation, where the moisture evaporates or powder, where there is no moisture, cream foundation locks that much-needed moisture in.

This is why creams are great for dry and mature skin, and since it doesn’t dry down, it provides a second skin instead of settling.

However, your skin may need to adjust to the extra hydration, especially if you are naturally oily.

💡PRO TIP: Did you know your skin might be overproducing oil because it is dry and trying to compensate? Yep. Once your skin gets over the shock of hydrating makeup, it will even out, and you won’t be as oily.

I recommend blotting paper, a good powder, and anything mattifying for the first few weeks.

TIP #9 – ARE YOU SETTING YOUR MAKEUP?

Cream makeup acts as a second skin and doesn’t settle into your crevices, lines, or pores, but you need to set it so it moves with your face and not off your face.

💡PRO TIP: Set with Vanilla Dust Pressed Powder if you prefer a matte look or Seint Setting Spray if you have dry skin or like a dewy finish. **If you have oily skin I do not recommend Seint’s Setting Spray. Reach out to me and I can suggest one that will work better for you.
